My local tame welder has excelled himself by managing to melt the end of the throttle conduit while welding new steps on my van.
Not the end of the world, I just need to replace the conduit, but my question is how is the conduit fixed at the pedal end? Looking at the smouldering remains of mine, there are two brackets just ahead of the pedal assembly with holes that are relevant. The outer is too large to fit through so does the inner go through? if so what stops the cable chaffing?
Its a rhd CU. I cant get any sense looking at vagcat.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Throttle Cable.
the plastic outer pipe fits into the metal brackets on the van floor there is another bracker further back under wheel arch what is not in line with the other two brackets this gives the white plastic pipe tension to stop it moving ,
