Hi folks,
Just got myself a 1989 Westy Hi Top with aaz conversion and I need help identifying this cut wire (green & yellow) on the loom to the underseat trickle charger.
Up is the new Down

MAINS? as in Neutral/Live & Earth......supply from the consumer unit (trip switches) 230 volt hookup.
Sorry only a guess but I doubt even VW would be that obvious without it being obvious.... :lol:

That looks like an aftermarket fitment by ??? It looks like it is a mains connection with the earth wire unused. Only you can tell by tracing the wiring back to it's source to ascertain it's function and earthing requirement.

Thanks for the info guys.
I found a wiring diagram that seems to show (it was in German and not too clear) the wire leading from the mains socket to the charger (or the other way round) and stopping short at the plug. I just can't understand why it looks like it been 'cut off'
If it's an earth (most obvious) then surely it should be earthing?
