Hello,
from similar questions on here, Simon Davey (Spannerboy) in Guildford does drive in drive out subaru conversions and is highly regarded - 07817 865722.

i like the german look on cars but why then would you fit a japenese engine instead of a german engine especially if going for the german look
Re: engine swap
I have thought about that and I think, know, the price difference between a porsche unit and subaru unit is quite a difference. I just want something that goes well and sounds nice. I have a friend that could modify a 2.1 wasser for me but I just fancy the subaru route. I dont suppose people would knock me for doing my own thing, where all different and so is every van or car.

Re: engine swap
Good question why would you put a Japanese engine in your VW perhaps because the original motors are an asthmatic gutless peace of rubbish in comparison, in all forms and I have had or driven every version. The Subaru looks factory if fitted correctly and with at least 15 years in development over the VW motor not to mention returns much better mpg, because it’s a 16v will happily pull like a train to its max revs at 7000 which makes it a pleasure to drive and transforms its usability, if you get the change to drive a decent one you will know exactly why.
I know it’s not to every ones taste, there will always be the how often you drive your van and the type of journeys you do but honestly it’s a win win and I didn’t even mention the reliability you get with a Subaru motor, £ for £ there even cheap, how good has it got to get, the question should be why on earth would you want to put up with the original
