Thanks - am looking to move to propane but will need somewhere to house the bigger bottle. Not a clue where! May need to modify the sliding door cupboard about the gas bottle to make room.

The current gas bottle is next to the portaloo in cupboard to the right of fridge (as you look at it). I would need to make room in sliding cupboard above for the bigger propex to fit.

Hmmm......

If you don't already, you can store a spare bottle under this 'cage' under the rear-most cupboard lid

lift out the cage and underneath is your spare bottle 'home'

I have investigated shoe-horning a propane bottle in place of the butane 907 but it just won't fit. I toyed with the idea of cutting the cupboards to allow more space but decided not to as at some point in the dark, distant future I intend to get an underslung LPG leisure tank fitted.

If you ever DO find yourself in the rather inconvenient position of it being too cold for the butane to evaporate, you can always warm your bottle up off the engine via the cab heater like I did at Dubfreeze 2008 when temperatures dropped to about -7C. You even have the Komet battery box lid to keep it wedged in place

Thanks for pics! I don't have any of inside the cupboard. Did you ever solve it? Apart from the wedging!!!

ok the calor propane is 340 high and 240 dia,
yours is 250 high and 205 dia
on the calor the regulator screws into the side of the valve so the fitted height remains 340
so you have a measure up , oh and they hold 3.9Kg so a third more than the gaz you have, plus works in all temperatures
mm :ok
