I know it was :lol: but I was wondering which way round you see it, oh and th 19 was sport, you would hassle one and bet how long it would last.

Depends how lazy I'm feeing. The paint job on my van was temporary and that's three years and counting.
2ltr Aircooled CU with twin Solex's & originally a 009 dizzie, but now back to standard.

Yeah unfortunately if even the smallest spot of rust is left it will eventually re-appear. I gave my van a good doing up but 18 months later bubbles are appearing again. I used a flapper wheel first then painted on a rust converter followed by a zinc based paint but the dreaded stuff still survived. Interestingly the perforated areas I cutout and welded in with new metal are fine ........ . . . nuff said :wink:
