Swivel seat Bases

Post by Garry »

Hi everyone, Have only just registered with the club but have owned my T25 for about 10 years which is a DIY camper conversion I did myself.
My Question is that I am looking to fit a swivel seat base to the passenger seat, but only to turn the seat 90 degrees to face the drivers seat (as the cooker unit is behind the passenger seat) from pictures I've seen of Autohomes and some other conversions did this to create a dining area between the 2 front seat.
I ask Just campers about this and they said OK, but that the swivel only locks in the forward or backwards positions.
Is this just the JK swivel seat that like this or are they basically all the same and in the Autohome etc conversions you just used them in an unlocked position?

Any advise would be great

Many thanks
Garry

The standard VW/Westfailure swivels (both weld-in and bolt-on) only lock in the forwards facing position.

Welcome to the forum btw :ok
