Just bear in mind that batteries do not always make it to their suggested life span and temperatures like these can pull them down fast. Mine is 3 years old and I must have charged the damned thing 20 times last month. As luck would have it, today I was trudging across to the van, lugging the battery when bloke in the garage next to me called me across. He had a brand new battery from an Audi he'd had to write off and only wanted £25 for it. Cripes, the starter motor didn't know what was coming when I turned the key. Big difference! Thats saved me a few quid. :D

Tenner for the old one as scrap - that makes £15 for a brand new battery - result!

I thought they didn't take batteries anymore? Didn't when I tried a few years ago (of course I say "a few years ago", it was probably 1983)

In 1983, wouldn't a car battery have cost a tenner :?:
