JX Turbocharger - replace KKK with Garrett???

Post by Woolf »

Hi, newbie in need of some help please

I've just bought a recon Garrett to replace the smokey KKK unit on my JX and I was under the impression that it was a straight swap.

However the Garrett seems to have an extra couple of ports on it (water cooling???) that I have nothing to connect to. Can I leave them or do I need to obtain some extra parts?

Just looks like different positions for oil line, I imagine use one and blank the rest, Also has that got an adjustable actuator?

The Blind Leading The Blind. I am Afraid------------------ :rofl
If you dont know the resonable answer to the Question asked, Then Please dont assume or give the wrong answer,s------------

The Etra Holes. (Threaded) are for water, that replacement turbo you have will work just the same as the one your replacing as long as you line up the existing oil feed and return inlet and outlet pipes on the Turbo.
I f they dont line up to match as your knackered turbo did, Then you will have to Re-Index the Turbo, There is in-depth detail how to do this in the WIKI Tab above on this page, JHGRingo did a fantastic write up on how to re-index a Turbo-Charger.
