T25 Mechanic near Liverpool

Post by chrispow01 »

Hi everyone!
Became the proud owner of a 1990 T25 Westy last summer and thoroughly enjoying ownership. Noticed my exhaust blowing last week so looking for some advice tips on getting this sorted. Ive got a couple of holes in the silencer, a hole in the bend prior to the silencer and the seals on the cast elbow are blowing also. As far as i can tell the pipework coming down from the heads seems in better condition. Questions: shall i go for full exhaust or would it be ok to change rear section from cast elbow? Secondly: Can anyone recommend a good T25 guy around the liverpool/merseyside area?
Many thanks people!

Hiya, welcome to the club :ok

Steve Shaw's down near Chester ... http://www.gasure.co.uk/contact.htm Top bloke

and yes you can change just from the cast knuckle back ... if you have the dosh I'd invest in a Brickwerks stainless system, it's compatible with the standard which means you can swap it over to stainless bit by bit should you choose/need to do so
