T25 replacement fridge?

Post by amber86 »

We have recently bought a 1986 T25 autohomes kameo, great little van, with original interior mostly complete except for the missing fridge. The previous owner removed it when it went wrong.

Anyone else had to replace the fridge in a T25? I'm guessing the original one was an electrolux rm212. Checking on eBay they seem to be going for around £80, is this a fair price? Is it worth getting a 2nd hand rm212 or should we find a newer alternative? Has anyone got any recommendations? If you have replaced one, what did you use?

BTW this is my first post, great site!

:P

rm212 fridges generally last forever!

they will need a service now and again ,

if its removed for any reason spin it round 90 degrees for 12 hours , 4 times this also hepls it.

elements can fail but very occasionally!

if the fridge dosent work it will more commonly be an electrical supply problem or the gas jet needs a clean!

if you get stuck i think i have a spare 212 in gloucester £50!

Thanks billy739!

That's good advice about spinning it round. Still looking for one, so might be in touch later if offer still stands.
