Came to my Bus after work one night and none of my dash lights are working at all no fuel guage no clock no indicators no warning lights the lot!
Ive had a quick look at the fuses but haven't checked them all fully for continuety yet as i can't find a minute out of work that is in daylight!
i was just wandering if it could be a common fault at all? and what i should check next? could it be an ignition fault?
Thanks for anyhelp
Cheers Jonny

Re: No Dash lights!
Cheers for the help Kevin I've just checked the earth crowns they all look clean going to take them off tomorrow and give them a clean anyway also I have just checked the battery and it's not charging so I think the alternator might have gone as well! Could this be a factor of the dash not working but I just read in another post https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.p ... 3#p7696791" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; could it be the voltage stabiliser?
Thank you very much if you can give any help?
John

Re: No Dash lights!
The brush pack on the alternator is a usual suspect for non charging alternators.
At £15 I would change that first.

they could supply one..
or you can mail order one from Wood Auto or these guys http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-BOSCH-ALT ... 45f30698e9" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . £9.75p

I would call them up first.. and tell them what van you have year engine type and size and the alternator name Bosch Lucas etc... you most likely have a Bosch

Check the ribbon that puss in to the connector strip.
Mine was loose so i cut an inch off an old vodaphone card and put it in the fold or the ribbon then pushed it back in to the connector strip. Good as new. Now just have to work out why no rev counter.
