The 72ah battery I found, and was going to buy due to its dimensions was this one...
Length: 278 mm
Width: 175 mm
Height: 175 mm
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Varta-Blue-E4 ... 35ac8106b7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But according to Varta website, the one below is the correct one, but its height concerns me....
Length: 278 mm
Width: 175 mm
Height: 190 mm
http://www.varta-automotive.com/index.p ... etype=1852" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.thompsonsltd.co.uk/VARTA-Blu ... Batteries/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Will the 190mm tall battery fit do you think?
Thanks in advance.

Re: starter battery
You should be concerned as Battery Box height is fairly restricted.
The problem here is 'VARTA' info doesn't take into account the TWO different battery locations: Petrol engined T25's (T3) behind the O/S/F seat in a battery box and with lid.
AND DIESEL
In the engine bay, sitting on a battery tray (without a lid)
Petrol engined vehicles with battery boxes have a 'smaller space' for the battery.
I think 190mm height will be too big but don't take my word for it..GO AND MEASURE THE SPACE YOURSELF (be aware of the lid and the need to properly insulate the POSITIVE TERMINAL from the lid (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT) make sure you use a plastic terminal cover.

Re: starter battery
Thanks Martin, but I have found in another thread, someone expressed that 190mm Height will fit.
Also as to the Varata site, my specific vehicle is listed as highlighted by the yellow square below..

So on the strength of the above, I wil take the plunge.

Re: starter battery
It's a UK code 096 if you look at the spec...so it fits, I have one.
Any battery with this code will fit

Fair doo's...I did measure my battery box but it was a couple of years ago now, bin to bed since then.
That will be some stonkin battery for a starter. Should give you many trouble free years.
