@ cooper.

my mate has been looking for a long while now. you cant jump in and by a syncro without regreating it unless your very very lucky.

i dont think any of the experianced syncronauts would disagree with me when i say to get a reliable syncro with tidy body you really need to be investing £7k upwards. at £5k theres going to be big bills comming your way. at £7k there`s still going to be plenty of opportunity to spend also but at that sort of money you should be able to have some reliable enjoyment out of the van.

There are a lot of vehicles sold behind the scenes that don't make it to the forsale section.

Keep your wanted add bumped in the wanted section and also put it in your signature.

I really wasn't sure if I was making the right decision when I bought my first LHD. Took a few days to get used to it. But now it is not a problem at all. Plus you will never have the pleasure of owning Westy!

Westy what is that like the cream of the crop of vw campers?

I dont mind even if i have a panel van vw as long as its a syncro then i can put the camper stuff inside.

I was offered £4600 for mine today via PM. Not as valuable as a camper I was told !! :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
Truth hurts eh Andrew :rollin :rollin :rollin

I dunno .... maybe I should rip out the interior and sell it for a few quid on E Bay, stick a few MDF boxes in it, get the tin opener to the roof and call it a camper ...... no that wont do either cuz I'd have to get the white paint and rollers out to make it a genuine camper! :rofl :rofl :rofl

£4600 ....... what a twonk!

I would of wanted your multi van for more if only it was rhd. It looks like a cracker. Why do people get caught up on the interior. Yeh some mdf is ok.

No doubt if i had a rhd i would never sell it. Infact if i had a vw syncro i would never sell it on.

When I have it in the condition I want it to be in before I sell it I'll stick it on mobile.de for €16,000 .... thats Euro .... you know ..... real money. If it doesnt sell for that or damn near it, I'll stick it in the shed, cover it over and leave it there. I'll then concentrate on a total rebuild of the white one.

Thats my way of getting my sh!t together ......

..lee.. wrote:anyone know about this van?

it has got a off putting repair on that sill area and riches doner reimo was absolutly rotten in that area. that said if the running gear is good its about the right price.

I went to see this van a couple of weeks ago. I'm not an expert but it didn't look like a factory conversion to me. The sills on either side were holed and full of filler that had then been hand painted in hammerite (black on the sills and a nice shade of turquiose on the rear valence). The fuel tank straps were a gonner too. The engine was pretty lumpy. Didn't get to check the diff locks or drive it. I'd hope for a little more metal in it for 5K.
