Been reading the forum for quite a while thought I would post a few pic's of my project, her name is Bertha. I got her 4 years ago drove her to Austria and lived in for 3 months after owning her for 2 days. Since then I've had her patched her up to keep her on the road but decided that the rust bubbles we're starting to become a concern and we should investigate further. (I knew we would have a decent chunk of work but found A LOT of filler)
So far We've stripped interior, cut rot out (hopefully), dropped the engine and gear box. Planning to do AFN engine conversion, get her resprayed in cream, drop 50mm, fit S.A double headlight grill and recover interior. All started when I thought hmmm maybe we should do something about those pesky rust bubbles...
E D I T: Just to note this is my first VW and project but I've had most of the body work done by Rich a family member who has been working on Splits and Bay for a fair few years.
Original Start position (photo on the grass is a few years old)

Stripping Interior (and carefully labelling all screws)

Holes starting to appear

Rot, what rot?

I knew the seals on those inlets looked questionable

Mostly stripped down

Actually putting something back

I can't believe I left the covers on and didn't check these what a fool

First time taking and engine and gearbox out 2hours 29min

Shocked how high the van rose with no engine in
