Re: Autosleeper thread
Hi Andy,
Only just saw this thread. Not sure if it is already too late for you, but we found something very similar to the original carpet and very good quality here:
http://www.ambassadorcarmats.co.uk/prod ... beige.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (only comes in 5 or 10 M lengths as far as I know).
You can find the same company selling their carpet on ebay and on ebay the delivery is free
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Autosleeper thread
Hi Tim nice to meet you and Fong at Peppercorn, you've got a great van there. Even though you say you're not mechanically minded you have done a great job and I reckon you'll surprise yourself over and over. I look forward to seeing how you're getting on at next show (get yourself to vanfest!) James

Re: Autosleeper thread
Thanks James. It was nice to meet you and your family. Peppercorn was a good tip
Shame it was the last one. The Vanfest looks cool but we'll be at the Crantock Balepush that weekend in Cornwall. The balepush is worth checking out if ever you get the chance. We stumbled across it last year and ended up pushing a massive bale around the village. It's an excellent little festival. By the way, Phuong wants to know what the name of you van is? Ours is Betty.

Re: Autosleeper thread
Welcome t'club Dazco. If your van is an 1985 Auto-Sleeper with a solid sided pop-top then it will be a VT20. I used to own a 1984 VT20 & is was a great van.

Re: Autosleeper thread
It's the ex-phreddmobile 'Jambo'. It is a VT20, like the one I used to have.

Re: Autosleeper thread
Yup . The one and only. All the interior is stripped out, the carpet was molting its pile and there are some holes in the floor to be sorted and rot round the fridge and 240 volt areas. What zig unit did these come with originaly and would it be possible to fit a different one if I can get my hands on one.?

Re: Autosleeper thread
No "zig" or battery charging abilities
just a control panel with fuses for the toys, fridge, waterpump, lights
you can hardwire a 230v leisure battery 3 phase charger in like a tronic.so it comes on with the hooky

T25Convert wrote:Hi,
I've just replaced all the window rubbers on my 1985 Trident (with the louvre rather than sliding window above the cooker).
For anyone looking to do the same you'll need the following rubber sizes off seals direct (http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/) who are the chepaest, and who do rather nice bits of rubber with quick delivery! Be aware that most 'kits' that are sold won't fit as they are for the wrong panel thicknesses.
Sliding door rubber - 1.6mm to 5.0mm (metal to glass)
Rear side windows - 5.0mm to 5.0mm (metal and trim to glass)
Louvre - 1.6mm to 1.6mm (metal to metal)
Fitting the rear winodws is a bit of a pain (they're curved, so require a bit of a push to ge them in!).
Hope that this is of use to someone - means you might be able to order news seals before you take the old ones out!
Cheers,
Alex
Do you remember the code for the louvre seal and hiw much you need for autosleeper ?
Cheers
