Hi, sorry if this is the wrong section but didnt know where else to put it.
I am looking for some feedback on anyone that has bought aftermarket mudflaps.
As i udnerstand the JK ones are a bit rubbish, what else is out there?
Brickwerks have them back in stock and im aware of these and they are rubber ones and i have found some from vw heritage which are cheaper but plastic ones.
After having the vans paintwork done i would like to protect it a little bit so was hoping to get some mud flaps on it.
Can anyone recommend any of the above two options, or does anyone no of any other options?
Thanks for reading
Katie

Re: talk to me about mud flaps
I have had the rigid plastic ones on my rear end
for a few years with no problems. The bodywork fixings on the fronts are not on my van.So i have never fitted those.

Thats how my fronts are fixed too. I'm on the look out for a pair of rears for my Syncro, as for some reason, theres no mud flaps, or holes/fixing for the rears. I do have the four small mud deflectors though.

Re: talk to me about mud flaps
I've just fitted some old Wolfsburg ones to ours (pics on our progress thread on here). They are the flat old ones not like the shaped JK ones, however I had to make some brackets as I didn't have any. I haven't got the front ones on yet only because I can't figure out how best to attach them whilst avoiding drilling the bodywork.
Keep an eye on eBay, they do come up every now & then and cheap too!

I bought a full set for my van from Schofields and the backs at least are geniune VW parts. The backs are on and look ok, I've not get around to doing the fronts yet though.
I also put some cavity wax between the flap and wheelarch joint areas to help stop crud building up in there are rotting the new arches out

Just checked their catalogue, but alas they are not out of stock.
