Emergency CV Boot

Post by torchy »

Wondering if anyone has any experience with these:

If a CV boot fails the joint won't last long off road with all the water, dirt and grit etc.

Maybe a good "get you home" .......or is it that the glue would never hold anyway??

Could be a nice idea for an emergency repair. How would one spoodge the CV grease in? Is there an inexpensive grease gun one could carry in the van toolkit?

used one of those a few years ago on my legacy held up fine and is still going strong. bit tricky to fit ,you have to be carefull to get it all lined up right as it can`t be repositioned after the first attempt, would definitely get you home in an emergency and a little bit more too :ok
hope that helps

For an emergency a bin liner and some cable ties would surely be a lot cheaper ? Worked for me Your going to have to change it anyway ?
