we will have to have the pics updated! the newest version is made of narrower tubing which is the same as the original ones and now has a catch to stop it moving when open, cheers mcgill

Went to fit it the other day and found I have a problem.... My spare is an alloy which has a smaller centre hole where the centre cap fits. The wheel carrier has a centre tube which fits through the steel wheel, but is too large diameter for the alloy. Has anybody else had this issue, if so how did you get around it?

yes i had that issue 16" (cv900's/borbetts-original carrier) reamed all five wheels... depends how much material you have to remove...or make up some adaptors...or just hack of the center tube as its not doing anything or hack of and weld on a lesser diameter tube)...dident wanna hack up an original carrier though..and would steer clear of doing likewise with that also seeing it too may become an iconic collectible piece in the near future  ,im sure i spoke to you about this @ some point in the dark n distant past

Yeah, im thinking about chopping out the centre tube and welding in a smaller diameter one, but i'd also need to extend the three mounts, as my wheel nuts are set in deeper. If you know what I mean! Could do with taking some pics really but cant be arsed to go out in the snow.
Haven't spoke to me about this before, as ive only just got mine. Thats why its a shame to have to hack it about  I have contacted Syncronutz to see if theyve come across this too, but not had a reply yet.

I had mine extended pre Syncronutz so alloy fitted the right way round, and also fitted wheel studs to allow a locking wheelnut to be used.

So does your alloy face outwards? This is my other option which would mean extending the centre tube and fitting longer studs.

Maybe Syncronutz could supply an 'optional' alloy fitting kit too? :D
