Hi Rob - I think the gold looks great as it is on that vehicle. Why don't you get some mixed up here to bring back to spain?
cheers,
Rich

Thanks very much for your input Paul. I look forward to seeing your design. Just a thought but, looking at your vans design, if you moved the front stripes back so they cover the back half of the door and adjoining panel then the affending paint work would probably be covered.

Please bare in mind that I intend having the wheels refurbished and painting black and, over time, replacing all the external accessories to match.

Maybe another option would be to match the paint, as Rich suggests, respray the necessary panels and add the stripes using transfers. They could always be removed at some later date if I wanted to take a step back. The van is also showing a little rust bubbling on one or two of the seams. Not much but something I want to rectify before it goes back to Spain.

That's the route I am going. Vinyl stripes and a base colour only. Black or anthracite wheels will look great and I was think black or dark grey stripes over the gold.

My van design is evolving as it was a quick version purely based on the Golf but it does need adjustment.

I'll have a go tonight and post my ideas - maybe basic ones so you can choose a direction and then I can elaborate.

BTW. Here are a few I did a while ago. You don't get much more dull and featureless than one of these when it's a single colour:

All three stand out very nicely, I really like the grey fade on the Scania truck. Look forward to seeing your ideas for mine.

Am I allowed to say I think my Westy could look good in Land Rover Keswick Green and white pop top
Has anyone else got this colour combo? What are the alternative green/ options apart from stock VW colours?

Also like Finnish army "cream"........is matt finish cheaper than a "normal" paint job?

Mine looks similar to this

But I also like the look of this.....

and this is my fav.....

Decisions decisions.....outside has to match one of the inside colours :pimp

Last one is the factory colour, Escorial Green. I love it too.

According to trusted sources, T3s came in four different solid greens and one metallic green. This does not include the South African versions.

LIANA GREEN LH6A
SIAMA GREEN LH6B
ESCORIAL GREEN LT6A
MAY GREEN LT6B
MONTANA GREEN METALLIC LB6Z

The one you posted is possibly Siama Green

I prefer the Siama Green then. Andy in Syncronutz owns that van now and when I had it the sticker was still under the dash.

Am I allowed say that I dont like Syncros in either Gold or Black

A couple of ideas first using the shut lines and natural panel boundaries as a working area. I have darkened the wheels and the area around the windows also.

#1 Landscape graphic in shades of grey/brown with SYNCRO logo applied over it.

#2 Abstract stripes with SYNCRO logo applied over it.

More to follow.....

Hi Paul

Thanks for the designs. To be honest I think they're a bit to bold. I like the black around the windows and I'm deffinately going with the black wheels. Instead of the large graphic maybe scale it down and place it further down and incorporating the wheel arches. This could then rap round allowing me to also paint the bumpers black to match the new winch.

Cheers

To be honest i got the most bold out of the way first. The following ones will be simpler and easier to achieve. :ok

i`m wondering what it would look like if the darkness around the windows was extended up on to the roof slightly not too far but far enough to give the impression that the van was bigger and the roof smaller. ?????????

and maybe bronze wheels to match the dark on the body???

ooooo and maybe a " lee`s van sticker " :ok
