Head light Deflectors

Post by RCN »

Hi all.
I've got a LHD that still has the original Europe headlights on them. An owner before me put on those beam deflectors instead of changing the lights. What i want to know is, if i travel to Europe do I need to remove those deflectors , or can i just keep them on? Will the beam blind on coming traffic over there, or is the beam defused and aimed down?
it's not that i'm too lazy, it's that they've been on so long they will rip, and i'm to cheap to want to replace something that works fine and if i don't have to. Cheers

when your in europe your covered lenses will be pointing the right way.

take them off and get a new set for when you return ... only a couple of quid. or use masking tape...kin tight git :D
They don't deflect anything..they just block the intense beam that would blind oncoming traffic in this country

Take them off in Europe and see what you've been missing all this time. As Kev says, just tape them up when you get home (or buy a set of RHD lamps for when you're back here)
What a long strange trip it's been

Do you need to mask RHD lights before going to the mainland?

Yes, either the stick on deflectors or a bit of black tape will do it. There's a picture of the bit to cover on Brickyard, or there was.....
