We went to a CC site in July and it was similar - a handful of tents, lots of white boxes and then us. More than a bit soulless even if it was a good location.

We had the same experience on our recent hols - in Bamburgh, Fife, Trossachs and Peak District - wish I had thought to take a pic too!!

We pulled on a site like that once, we were the only ones in a superior camping vehicle ( T25) that’s how I saw it, decided to have some fun with a couple that looked a bit down their noses……..I asked them if they had seen any hedgehogs, we had not had time to pop to the shops for anything to cook on our spit over the open fire we planned to have that night, said we could sell them some pegs if they needed any……… they nearly choked on their tiffin, we wandered off chuckling.

France-Belgium-Luxembourg-France-Germany-Austria-Italy-Slovenia-Croatia-Slovenia-Austria-Germany-Czech Republic-Germany-France-Belgium-France thing

Driving all those miles would be my idea of hell, and a waste of good drinking time :rollin

That made me laugh :-)

We had a similar experience in November. Although we only had some sparse bushes to hide behind. The BEST part was due to where we parked the van - we must have affected their TV signal as in in unison all the automatic roof dishes frantically moved around to catch the end of Corrie/Enders/Emerdale...
