Factory fitted or conversion, I can't tell!

Post by Fluffenzepupple »

I want to order some new window seals and plug those pesky leaks, but I'm proper confused over whether my windows are factory fitted or not.

I'm 90% sure they're factory fitted and there's nothing in the history about it ever having been a panel van, but i can't be sure and at the risk of sounding like a total spanner, theres these 'gaps' around the 2 rear windows that almost make it look like the windows don't fit the sections, like its got factory standard sized gaps on the inner skin but with non standard size windows on the outer skin :? ... does that even make sense?

Am i just being a plum and this is normal? And how do i tell which kind of windows they are?

Cheers!

Looking at the pics I would say panel van. Especially as the inner and outer panels dont meet up. Another way to tell is panel van rubbers sit proud of the outside panel, factory rubbers are inset into the panel. Hope that helps.

Ahhhhhh ok that makes perfect sense, in that case it must be a panel van as the rubbers indeed sit atop the body and not inset, that explains the difference in panels too. Finally a way to tell that i can understand hehe :)

90% sure its factory, shows what i know :rollin

Cheers! :ok
