Well , thankfully this is the last of the phone camera, theyre carp.
fitted the upper panal and welded inside behind dash on drivers side, pig to get to but it has welded...
Image
the yellow lines show the join between the upper panal and the inner, this area will have the full dynax treatment so shouldnt rust out again in the near future
as I couldnt get into the very top I have choosen to run a line of brazing down, this will prevent any nasties going either way, and I have recut a seam in it. sorry picky is poor , did same on the other side but its blurred.
Image
so now this part of the job is done
Image
Image
after the newyear this is getting fitted
Image
lower front panal the quick way

Yes it would be good to see the front panel work MM, as that is where mine is going. Can that be done with just sheet steel or would you recommend getting a cut piece from a good front end.

Following this thread with great interest...... Don' think mine is bad at all, but then I haven't really looked behind and under things yet.
Hopefully get the time to do that when I get back home in a couple of weeks.

Well Im fitting a ready made schofield bit , but if you want to make one up then this link is how I did it, and there were reasons for making rather than buying a bit.

Well, decided against the gas axe and removed it the comventional way,, the middle section as always was rotten through, another victim partially due to the air deflector or should it be refered to as the water deflector...
Image
the sides werent so bad and some would leave them but there is always rust about so off with it
Image
will grind up and such then out with the blaster and then treatment prior to welding new part in
