16" Trailing arms in need of some tlc

Post by Yozza »

Season greetings to everyone.

I've had a chance to do a bit in the garage during the festive season. I've ran the needle gun over my trailing arms only to discover they're not in the best of health...

I plan to patch up but was wondering if it's worth doing 'big tyre' clearance (cut and weld) as per syncrodoug's below:

I'll be getting the grinder and welder out to play so is it worth doing now 'just in case' I opt for a bigger tyre in the future?

Indeed. If you have to weld - you may as well chop the crap out first.

Make sure the rest of the arm is serviceable before you spend your hard earned on getting them modded. A set of 16" arms went for €145 on E Bay just before Christmas
