Grease cap

Post by filbay »

Hi, Does anyone know if a grease cap from a Beetle will fit the T25 ? I have bought some Merc alloys but the centre caps won,t fit over existing grease caps. I have read on the Wiki that it is possible to cut 5mm. off the cap but as a Beetle one is the right depth I wondered if it would fit ?

No idea whether the beetle cap is the same internal diameter but to fit my merc alloys caps I cut 10mm off the grease cap.

I got something that was 10mm thick, placed a knife blade on it and scribed round the cap. This then gave me a nice line to saw to.

You also cannot fit the circlip on the sqaure end of the speedo cable but its never popped out for me in 3 years
