We are heading off to the Berlin Bus Festival again in 2012.

This years event is 27-29th July

There are very "BIG" things (T25 wise) happening next year.

It is a fantastic event for T25's.

It has a Sprint Track & Off Road Circuit & one of the best events in Europe for Syncro's.

I went there with work last year to visit the factory. We were driven from Budapest to northern Romania. I saw some pretty cool things. It's such a different and generally a very basic way of living.

Even though there was heavy snow the car drivers didn't seem to slow down. At one point the car we were travelling in over took the snow plough in a twisty narrow road! :run

We drove through a place called Beggars Village. Where everyone had big houses and drove Mercs etc. Funded by begging around Europe.

I was only there a couple of days and was working but I think it would be a good place to visit with more time. Obviously you have to go to Transilvania!

Romania is a must do Jed!
Spent two months there couple of years ago in the 2wd. Lots of nice spots for wild camping (especially with a syncro). Might have a few tips, let me know :)
Lovely people too. Off season might be nice though, some places get crowded.

Check out http://www.transsylvanien.se" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and the "Galleri"-section for some images from our trip.

Cant really decide, but possably berlin vanfest then onto Poland and the Black mountains, or maybe the french west coast then across to the pyrenees and then back via alps and west germany.

Mmmmm great thread - just what I bought a Syncro for.
Sweden for us - I'd like to head up to Dalsland and get out on the lakes in a a canoe for a couple of weeks camping on islands....
And meeting some of you guy, poking round your vans to find out what they are sposed to look like, and how to drive them !
Cheers

Hoping to have some major mechanical work (mainly Futbus parts) fitted by early this year, along with a custom interior and a few toys.

That should take us up to Easter and a surfing holiday near Tenby.

After that, van permitting - we will be looking for ideas.
