went to change the oilite bush on my starter motor today and found that it doesnt have one ! the problem is whilst doing this i broke the the end off the solenoid where the wires connect
on closer inspection found out it had been bodged with silicon before
now i need a starter motor which doesnt have the oilite bush cant order one using the reg no. should i get the numbers off the motor and ask around ?

All starters will require a bush it depends upon whether it is integral with the starter or in the housing.

It's a push-fit into the bellhousing (unless it's a d****l)

The solenoid bolt may be the reason for the 'lazy' starter, the bush will be/have been there at some point.
