A taste of 'Syncro' present .....

Post by syncropaddy »

Just retured form a 6 day trip to Sweden where a 500km drive was needed whilst visiting a location near Ostersund which is about half way up the country.

Look what I got to drive me there .........

Image

Yup, its a Multivan ....

Image

Yup, its a diesel, 4motion automatic !!

Image

With a set of absolutely amazing 'moose lights' and for those who aren't sure ..... a set of winter tyres!

The winter tyres, you will notice, look nothing like BFG M/T's or A/T's !! This is one fabulous vehicle - comfortable, economical, quick, fabulous to drive and very desireable. Its no T3 of course but will there ever be again ....... ?

Grey, cold and wet !! Its a University town with about 60,000 souls and lots of places to eat !!! Like most places in Sweden its a nice place but unfortunately my traveling there and back was in the dark so didn't get much time to see anything and anyway I wasn't there to view the scenery!

Yeah dual mass flywheel issues are not just limited to T5's. I have my sons Passat 4motion here while he is in Canada and it need a new flywheel. Solid versions are available but I wonder about their suitability and long term effect on the engine.

Yep she sure was and I am trying to keep her that way. What a fantastic motor I just love driving her. Mal still my technical advisor. Not sure what he would say if he saw the mess the kids have made inside! :D
