Bluebird Rock and Roll Bed - installation advice needed!!!

Post by Oh Danny Boy »

Hi,

Can anyone help please before i go and take a sledge hammer to my Bluebird rock and roll bed!?!

I am having absoloute nightmares trying to install it. It was purchased new from bluebird, and as anyone will know who has one, the instructions included are utter crap. Does anyone have any photos they could post of it installed/fixing points etc? My van is in danger of looking like a tea bag with the amount of holes i'm drilling!. I am aware that the rear needs a platform, that is not the problem. My problem is installing the actual frame. When i put it together it is all slanted, looks like an aircraft taking off!!

On a side note the guy at bluebird really needs to put together some clearer instructions. Fair play to the people who have one and managed to put it together without any problems, but i know from reading the other posts that there are many buyers who have also had trouble installing. Sure it may have been originally intended for a Bay, however they are also being advertised for T25's and as such they should include seperate T25 instructions. It's just laziness really... Anyways, rant over, help/advice and pictures greatly appreciated. :ok

Cheers,

I fitted ours in the summer.

I'll take some pics and measurements for the holes you'll need to drill in the rear bulkhead when I get home tonight, if that helps.... :)

Inertia setbelts can be fitte with any bed as they are seperate.

No cushion pics. The bed looks narrower when down as the sides of a T3 angle inwards. Once the foam is on the bed is fine.
