So i'm happy to say i have a more positive update to add to this thread!

I went along to the Bristol Cruise today as advised by Billy (thank you again Billy, nice to meet you..again!) and as it happens the person who did the work turned up too! I also bumped into some old friends from a club i used to be a member of years ago with the ex (He got the club when we broke up in early 09 hence why i hadn't just gone to them for advice, you know what its like with these awkward situations!) and they were only too happy to give me some more advice and speak to the guy with me which i was very grateful for.

He took on board what i was saying and accepted that some of the bits hadn't been done to the standard they should have, i believe its a case that the younger guys / apprentices had done a lot of the work which makes sense as me and my boyfriend had said it's like 2 people had worked on it, some bits like the passenger footwell looked well done but then other parts were poor. Thankfully as said, he took my concerns on board without fuss and was quick to offer to have the van brought back in and re-done until i'm happy.

So for now i'm feeling a lot more positive about the whole situation and i'm hopeful that he's going to be true to his word and rectify the issues properly. I'll get some more pics up once i've had the further work done and fingers crossed i can leave this thread on a positive note with a good review! I'd be only too happy to sing someone's praises if they've done a good job, so we'll wait and see what happens from here.

Thank you so much to everyone who has posted on this thread, i'm very grateful for all of the advice given you've all been brilliant! :ok

And on a bit of a sidenote, it was great to meet a couple of the club 80-90 members in the flesh today and would you believe it, Billy is actually the same Billy who bought my old T25 off me on ebay back in 2009, I laughed my head off when he pointed it out to me, i thought he looked familiar too haha what a coincidence ey! :rollin

hiya, neewby here, ive seen what im assuming is ur before and after pictures, it would appear youve had a patch up job, and to be honest not a very good one, it depends on what you asked for, and the all important what you were charged, but if i can be of any help feel free to call, im in taunton which is only down the road from you, and i have a car repair garage, i wouldnt mind checkin the work to see how its been repaired if at all and writing you a back up letter if you shoud need to go any further with ur case :)

Hi,

The previous posts say it all, thats poor work. What were your instructions and expectations ?

If it was very cheap (a couple of hundred quid for the welding) and done as a patch job to get through an MOT (though a some of those holes were not MOT failures) then maybe almost acceptable, but you'd still need to do it again in a year or two.

Get someone to have a look and go back to the "specialists", use the small claim courts, stick with it, dont let them do you over like that. There are a few club members in the area, someone will help I'm sure.
