Breslau rally

Post by jebiga41 »

Thought I'd start a new thread regarding this. Still a bit confused about whether it's 300 euro registration or 1800? Seems to be different stories.
What would people recommend regarding doing the cross country in Tinkerbelle aka "the horse"
Was thinking about trying to keep her more or less stock and running a rebuilt AAZ chargecooled and slightly tuned
Throw in new water and oil pump belts and battery
plus additional oil cooler
already has a heavy duty clutch
Seikels and shocks Might be able to borrow Daves
Rear brake conversion new front pads discs are 1 year old so okay
New bearings all round
Rear bushes and engine gearbox mounts (fronts gave been poly bushed when converted)
a rollcage, seem to recall seeing one in an allotment last year  .
4 point seat belts
I know jaeger has rad repositioned at the back Of his rally bus Might consider moving the rad and fitting an air scoop and intake made to fit over the cab for better cooling and air intake
Obviously on a tight budget any other suggestions guys?

If you convert to a 'Rally Spec' why not simply fit the rad and air to air intercooler at the back. The intercooler would work well while mounted on top of the engine and will be more reliable than a charge cooler.
