Re: new syncro to the family
I have a sunroof in my panel, it's in back and it really does help the light in when the door is closed.

Re: new syncro to the family
No window cutting and DEF no bulkhead removal. Which makes it impractical for your needs so sell it to me
, do you have a glass slider in bulkhead, might be an all round compromise. Mine is a two part glass affair, looks the business

Re: new syncro to the family
no window in the bulkhead its missing. had a look recon it can be removed without damage. the top bit is just an add on to the bottom bit.
just put a velle steering wheel on.
must stop.

Re: new syncro to the family
nice van Lee
top of bulkhead would be easy to remove but why not put a sliding window in it? Let's in a lot of light

Also would say it's better to keep the bulkhead as it gives a bit more rigidity to the van, keeps the warmer and also stops you worrying about stuff hitting you on the back of the head.

Re: new syncro to the family
well done. nice truck.
it looked nicely original in the photos and those are getting harder to find.
please dont cut windows!
i think you might regret it in a few years.
sunroofs let a lot of light in and are good for ventilation ( cept when its raining!) i always use the britax removable glass types so you can take em right out when the weather is nice.
bulkheads arent too tricky to remove but a good spot weld drill bit is really handy and makes for a good job. i have never tried to get one out in one piece for possible later use though. i imagine it might be a bit trickier.
as i said in another post related to your van, i dont regret making my camper cos its ace but i do regret not still having an nice original 16" panel van.
i still NEED one of those!
or possibly some therapy.

Has it got some holes drilled in the dashboard just next to the dash pod?

No, i don't know it, but it being white, RHD, a syncro panel van and having those vent thingy's (which im led to believe were an added option for bulkhead panels) my money is on it's first owner being Yorkshire water.
Is it on a "J" plate?

Re: new syncro to the family
sorry to do a bit minor bit of highjacking
,but were the sliding windows in the bulkhead original. I would like to put a sliding window in my doka back window and that looks like it fits the bill?

Re: new syncro to the family
Only ever saw them in ambulances (Dave) has one in his where I got the idea from if you look at the pic it has the moulding in the panel I used an aftermarket window( the one with the insert) from Dave and the seal for a panel install, most tractor factors have the seals. Mine originally had a square perspex window which I think the original owner put in. Was thinking about doing the same for Tinkerbelle but the back panel is different than the bulkhead and so wouldn't work pete (pc52)was talking about getting some made up before so might be worth pming him?stevealex wrote:sorry to do a bit minor bit of highjacking, but were the sliding windows in the bulkhead original.
