Dripping rain water (chinese torture)
Hi all,
I have an 84 westy. When it rains I get a drip, drip, drip coming from the external vent grills, (the rectangular ones at the rear above the engine). It doesn't bother me during the day but at night it becomes very annoying and keeps us awake. I've tried stuffing rags down the grills which does the job but I wondered if anyone had a permanent fix? (I obviously remove the rags when the vehicle is running).

just fit a scoop then you no longer get the dripping noise

Re: Dripping rain water (chinese torture)
Not sure how the scoop idea works really, unless I convert to an ice cream van. Anyway, practical solutions appreciated.

Re: Dripping rain water (chinese torture)
the scoop uses the original screws what hold your rear vents on ,

Thanks faggie, I think I know what you're on about now. Will have a look & see if I can botch something up.
Re: Dripping rain water (chinese torture)
either buy them or make them yourself out of a plastic tray
