Interior Lights only on one side - Pre-wired for the other?

Post by Mickyfin »

As you can see in my photo below, i don't have any interior lights on the one side, but do have air vents on both sides.

My question is, does anyone know if I were to locate the holes where the interior lights fit on this side, would the wiring be already in the loom hidden somewhere, or would I have to wire them in myself?

Thanks :ok

Ok, cheers, it was worth a shot, as I know from past experience with either optional extras and alike, sometimes, the wiring for such is there, but tucked away hidden somewhere. However, having said that, these I found have been dash related items, but for an Vauxhall/Opel.

I assume we are talking lights above the cab doors?

My panel van has had it done in the past. Just seems to be a live wire and an earth up the a column via the door switch

Can you not feel a void for the light under the headlining above the cab door with no light?

As far as I am aware there wer no interior lights up near those vents

Thanks Cruz for the diagram, very useful. :ok

I have seen T25's with interior lights either side, resulting in a total of 4 interior lights, each opposite from each other. I did try and feel for a void, but alas, nothing sadly.

if you have the lights above the cab doors then you can fish all the way along and you can get down the B pillar if need be. pop the light out and see how far you can get. you will be surprised. :D

what you find is the lights will be on the drivers side

rhd is opposite to lhd

some passenger carrying vehicles had all 4 fitted!

the holes are in place but only the required loom was fitted so you need to feed the extra wires.

ideally you need 3 wires earth , live , door switched(earth)

have just done mine as its a lhd converted to rhd and i missed a lamp above my head!
