Near side inner sill?

Post by serenitycamper »

Does anyone manufacture these except Schofield and JK? They seem damn expensive compared with the rest of the parts available?

That's because they are most likely genuine parts as opposed to some of the rippled tincan reproductions they list

No

Basically they are obsolete from VW. The last few went for £15 each about 6 months ago, offside went obsolete a year or two back. £15 wasn't the normal price though they were about £100 when VW sold them

They are structural and £100 is cheap for what they are.

If you think £100 is expensive you may need another hobby

You're always quite quick to get a dig in aren't you. I appreciate the advice and help but the little digs are getting a bit thin.

I know the value of automotive components I am merely trying to find out whether there are alternatives for a reasonable price as I'm going to end up cutting it in half, therefore I'm paying £100 for half a sill.

I'm only pulling your leg. :?

At least I'm one of the few people attempting to answer your questions :|

If you are going to cut it up then maybe a good 2nd hand one may be better
