Llanfyllin Lanes

Post by Peninsulakid »

Hi Folks

A few weeks ago, Aidan, Lee, Max, Stacey (Max's daughter) and I had a little off road trip around some of the lanes in Gods Country. Finally got around to putting up the video. Sorry its not in Jed Speilbergs league of cinema photography. Put some good old Welsh songs to it as well. Hope you enjoy. :D :D

Had they just dug the lane away where they built that building?

We reckoned so. There was a route around which was only 10 yards to the right. Would love to have been upfront with Lee and Aidan when they first saw it. Must have been a few choice words!

to be fair there had maybe been a bank collapse behind the building where the track originally went, they had rebattered the slope and built a very good track a little further away from the buildings, probably a fair offset for the small land grab, had been done a while ago as can be seen by the vegetation regrowth, but the bottom of that lane beyond the farmhouse was very fluffy and little used, with a poor exit on a fast corner on a busy road, but with a parking place opposite where we could get across the road to to turn around to go left as the turn out of the lane was impossible to do safely
