Over the next few months I am going to begin prepping the van. It has previously been painted with a brush, so has various shades of white to cream. Is it best to attack the seams first? I am a complete novice on bodywork.I am hoping that someone could point me in the right direction or to the correct thread for further advice. Cheers.

Yes, concentrate on the rot first and be rigorous about it. Once you're sure you've slowed it down (attack both sides if you can) then concentrate on getting a smooth, dent-free surface. Then maybe attack the rust some more!
Plenty on the net about prepping and body repair.

How do people attack the b pillar seams considering you cannot get behind it due to the inner pillar?
