Help can anyone tell me wot the red light in the dash on the temp gauge is for as mine seems to have a mind of its own

sounds like in your case you've got an electrical fault to trace - could be the sensor in the header tank, or module 43 or the 14 pin multiconnector or the PCB itself... hope you find the solution
