Seeing as no-one else will help you ...

With our Passat TDi when the fuel filter was changed the feed pipe to each of the injectors in turn had to be 'cracked' and the engine cranked over to pump fuel through and air out. The same principal as bleeding the brakes or clutch.

There that exhausts my knowledge of d****l engines.

You'll be able to get a primer bulb off of any french filth diesels in a local scrapyard to help prime your pump if you want to fit one.

As Ian pointed out with the engine running cracking each injector in turn (wrap a cloth around it while doing it, the diesel squirts everywhere!) to get the air out. You may need to do this a couple of times, a good run helps too with lots of full throttle!
