very sad day today,
oil light/buzzer came on, thought i'd make it to my workshop, to check out problem!
now have a big hole in the top of the engine!!!!
in less than 3 miles! :cry:

if anyone is up for a project let me know!
open to sensible offers!
gutted!

thats bad news, where has it gone from the for sale topic. what engine is it petrol / diesel??

It should be compulsory for WBX owners to have an oil pressure gauge.

Did similar with mine, new VW engine, better selling as damaged repairable :(

fact is a very relectant sale,
selling to fund tractor,
it's a petrol 2.1 dj engine will need replacing!!
took off for sale bit as didn't think to sell it as non runner!
looking for £3k as is, if not then will sort engine,
been quoted £1-2 to get engine done!

it's a good tub, if it was a banger would let it go for silly!

I dont know about that :lol:

Though I have had to spend out on the first bit of money apart from changing the oil and air filter since I bought it from you all those years ago. New gear box.... Defiantly cant grumble like :D

I'll have a 2.1MV available for sale in about four weeks. Which apparently is a low mile VW replacement.

I have a 2.1 DJ in my shed with pre 100,000 on it with the heads off and no snapped bolts (My old vans engine, water jacket leaking) I was going to keep it as a spare for my Doka but that might be being up for sale in the new year so I could be tempted to sell my spare engine if anyone is interested in buying the single cab. I could do with the money to fuel my Westy diesel habit :mrgreen:
