What sort of smell? My coolant is fragrance-free.

Could be a small hole in the heater matrix (or a loose/split pipe) around the heater area behind the dash.
My passat used to smell of coolant and that was due to a leaking heater.

Coolant only smells when its warmed up really, so its somewhere near a heat source if you can smell it.

The usual suspect will be the heater valve - as it's just under the gearstick gaiter it is a quick route to the nostrils. Peer through the hole under the gaiter and you should be able to see white deposits on the top of the valve if it is leaking.

You'll be needing to put some anti-freeze in real soon then 50/50%

I have at least 50% anti-freeze in thanks, but it still doesn't smell of much. If 50/50 coolant was dripping, as in a leak, I bet you couldn't smell it

That ugly git Mike Ashley can call the ground whatever he likes. To real Toon fans, it's still called St. James Park and always will be. The stupid sod will never be able to sell the name of the ground, because no-one will ever accept any new name.

Hope you sort out your stinky coolant problem. If it smells like cheese then it's time to change it.
