hi everyone couple of weeks back in the van when i went out everything seemed fine, then after about a mile or so it started to run poorly coughing and spluttering.i managed to get it home and my mate checked the fuel filter just under the van not far from the drivers side wheel and it was dirty so i changed it and the van ran great until today.it started to do exactly the same thing again today about 200 meters from home but it was really hard to keep it going and really struggled to get home your talking 5 mph clutching it and reving it in second.fuel filter was reaaly clean with no crap in.gets home and 5 mins later it ran like a dream any ideas i would like to get it sorted, cheers dave

If the first fuel filter that was changed was so dirty, I would question the cleanliness of the rest of the fuel line and the fuel tank. Is there another fuel filter in the engine bay? There should be. Not all the muck would be stopped by the first inline filter or there wouldn't be any need for a second. And if muck can get past a fuel filter, there is likely to be muck in the carb.
Don't you lot with petrol injuns sometimes have a filter on the carb inlet?
I also thought that you shouldn't have a third inline filter in the injun bay. (Belt, braces + piece of string approach )
