Post by BaaaadSlider »

So roughly how many metres is need for material for full cab curtains, one for sliding door and opposite panel, one for back left and right panels and one (or two) for tailgate?
Can anyone help please?

H reckons we bought 9 metres.

I'd personally go for one curtain on the tailgate :)

i have only got one on the back. make sure you make it long enough so it gets trapped between the bed and the tailgate so you dont get any light in in the mornings.

Here's a link for a full set of curtains to a 1987 Westy. It may help?

The amount will also depend on whether you want them self lined (so you can see the pattern inside and out). I've a measurement of 10.6m scribbled down for the T25 but can't for the life of me remember whether this included lining or not.

Taken from an earlier thread

Its worth buying [if you can find the right fabric] 2 kings size duvet sets [3 if you want a matching bed set] and cutting them up to make the curtains,,,you should have enough fabric to line them in the same fabric [looks much better from the outside] instead of buying lining,,, you can make some cushions and nice round bolsters with contrast piping and buttons, oh and some contrast piped tie backs and frilling on the front edge of the curtains.....out of the matching pillowcases,,,I really must remember that I'm retired from the soft furnishing business :ok :rofl :rofl
