Fuel pump 2lt CU Aircooled.

Post by Jonny Rock »

Fuel pump 2lt CU Aircooled.

Hi all, Think my fuel pumps on the way out.
So am after a bit of advice,
Is there a service kit available for the 2lt stock fuel pump. I have found ones for 'up to 1.6lt' but no 2lt kits.
If no service kit, what would people recommend regarding electric pump and regulator.

Or, has anyone got a stock pump for sale.

Many thanks, Jon

Sadly no, the 2.0 litre engine fuel pumps and parts are no longer available, and unless you have enormous luck you won't find new anywhere.

S/H pumps can be a bit of a lottery, when it fails many people have swapped to an electric pump, the one on my van is from a Kawasaki 600.

Worth checking the push rod ain't worn down
Take it out and check, but be careful of a very sharp burr on the worn end

Do you have a regulator fitted or is the pressure correct.
