Hi Peeps,
I now have my club joker 1.6Td, Whoo hoo, but now i need to import it and have the mechanics all done. It runs well and pulls good, but it has been sitting for a long time so I need it thoroughly gone over and preped for MOT . Now, probably the wrong place to ask, but who near Hampshire is the recommended to carry out this task? Who are regarded as the best in the UK.... might consider traveling..? Who is good for total refurb (ie overall servicing of all the van incl the camping fittments, heater etc)... Any hints n tips would be welcome...esp as I have very little time to do any major works myself... ta muchly...

Servicing and mechanics,....Brickwerks or Gasure. Guessing Gasure may also be able to service your internal gas system!

Tickity Boo! Van is now UK road legal and running grand thanks to Steve at gasure. Well worth the 400mile round trip to drop it off, and then again to pick it up.
Happy to hear Steve say its a sound van and solid underneath etc, all it needs now is pleanty of elbow grease to get the interior up to spec. Any ideas for cleaining the head lining? Tried a few products, but nowt worked that well...

Katie has now been treated to a further work over from Spanner Boy, Guildford. What a great job, he covered many of the jobs 'missed' previously and the Van is now a delight to drive. I can't recommend Si enough; he was thorough and comprehensive with good communications. Si always had alternatives to offer and discussed the pros n cons of them all. Not a bad penny spent on the van. Cheers Si

Glad to hear your van is on the road without too much hassle
I note that Spanner Boy is not listed in our list of T25 competent garages & mechanics ( see = https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Ga ... 5_Specific" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) I wonder if he would like to be in there ?
Off now to pm him re this...
