Re: V5 PLG to Camper question
So according to that even if the camper was re-classed as a motorcaravan it can still only do 50 on a-roads and 60 on dual carriageways/motorways
confused indeed

Re: V5 PLG to Camper question
That's the old website; this is the new one http://www.dft.gov.uk/topics/road-safety/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It still gives the same speed limits for vans but if you get it re-registered as a motorhome it is no longer considered a van and is not subject to van limits

Re: V5 PLG to Camper question
I just copied this from a camper building site.
Might be able to travel faster - Vans with an unladen weight of under 3050kg can travel at a maximum of 60mph on a dual carriageway. But this increases to 70mph on a dual carriageway for vehicles registered as campervans. All other speed limits remain the same. Vehicles with a unladen weight over 3050kg (i.e. all 3500kg vans) have no change in speed limit when re-registering as a campervan.

better in the Wiki than being a sticky. Sticky's tend to start queueing up at the top of forums...
