Adding lead?

Post by Libby »

Should i still add the lead from the little bottle each time i fill up. The one previous owner I bought her from showed me what to do, but then a garage said it shouldn't be necessary anymore?? Any advise, I tend to think you should stick to what she's been used to. I do get a little spluttering going up hills as well.
Thanks for any advise.

I've never heard of anyone using lead replacement in these vans, only in older Beetles etc.

I can't see why it would be an issue or there would be hundreds if not thousands having engine trouble.
Martin.

Diesel is an engine not a fuel.

I liked camping so much I went full time.

These vans run on unleaded fuel (unless they are diesel :D ), no need to add anything else.
