Post by Lollypop »

hello every one, newbe here, pleased to meet you all, some great info in the mechanical forum for new owners like myself, and yes i do have a small problem for you to help me with,ha ha,ive had to remove the clutch slave cylinder as it is totally rust bound and leaking like a sieve, pipe work back to the master is also had it,so im going to replace this too, would it be ok to have copper pipe from master to cylinder without the rubber hose ?,checked out alot of cylinder problems but couldnt find anything on this, any help, advice greatly appreciated, thanks all.

no - you need the flexi pipe as the engine/gearbox move about on their mounts, using solid pipe all the way through would break after a short time
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!

As Doug has said you need to have a flexi section, Brickwerks sell one!
