as above really. I have a 1991 T25 Holdsworth Villa 3 with a standard dash (Non rev counter) and want to know if I can swap the Clock, temp, fuel gauge with the correct rev counter as fitted to Caravelle or other models, without changing the whole pod ? and will the loom need to be altered for it to work ? (like some 80s cars the dash loom is the same whatever the model in that range ) or will it just plug in and all work !!
Mine is 2.1 petrol 5 speed (if its relavent)
I bought the pod without the speedo and just put my speedo into it. As otherwise you'll have no clock as the pod with rev counter have an LCD clock. Plus the temp and fuel gauges are in a different position. So for these reasons I would have thought the PCB will be different.
Took about 10mins to swap the bits about and it's was cheaper than buying the whole unit.
Thats what I plan to be honest, I know where there is an OEM rev counter, and would love to buy it, and retro fit it where my clock is, but don't want to go down the route of cutting looms/plugs. Was kind of hoping that mine being a Syncro, and the rev counter being an optional extra, the loom/connectors would be in place, maybe taped up somewhere behind the dash?

The main connection to the PCB will be the same. From memory it's pin 9 for the rev counter. It will be plug and play. Just need to confirm whether or not you'll need a different PCB.
i fitted a late rev counter dash in a early Aircooled van and i had to modify the printed circuit and wiring as the early engine does not have the correct sensors to stop the buzzer going of , at the time i had never seen another one fitted to a early van

Faggie, I tried to send you a reply to your PM about the hubcaps, but for some reason it won't allow me to send it to you..If you let me know the condition and price details, please PM me again. Although I may not be able to reply to you..
rev counter / anologue clock PCB's are different. different shape/connections around rev/clock
all horizontal plug pcb are interchngeable as are all vertical
to swap vertical/horizontal you need to swap the connections in the connector around
petrol/diesel are interchangeable (horizontal plugs) but using a diesel in a petrol no probs but a petrol in a diesel will leave you without a glowplug lamp
main housing will not have a clock adjust hole for the revcounter version
