Overnight pub camping near Exeter A30

Post by jiffies »

Hi
Off for a long weekend surfing in Cornwall next week. Want to break the journey up so looking for a camping spot halfway between Southampton & Perranporth (Exeter area) near the main road A30, Ideally a pub that will alllow us to camp over for free, provided we spend a few quid on beers. Or failing that just a cheap campsite! No mod ons required
Any suggestions
Cheers

The Double Locks used to have a camping field but I haven't stopped there for years so it might have changed?

Thanks guys

Just went onto the pubcamping website, nice little pub only a few miles off route. The owner sounds spot on & happy to let us park up for free provided we sample his wares
